Phillip Modlin is the Lead Pastor of Amplify Church. He's a fan of Tarheels basketball and Buckeye football. Strange combination? Not really. He just likes teams that win. Phillip is a passionate follower of Christ, a dedicated husband, father, and a dynamic preacher and leader, in that order.

Cindy Wilson is the Office Administrator at Amplify Church.  She loves sports and is an avid fan of Duke, NCSU, and the Carolina Hurricanes.  Cindy enjoys spending time with her family and her Church family.  She loves the Lord, her church, and has a heart for serving others.

Rebekah Cain has a passion for serving others and organizing.  Rebekah is committed to helping you encounter Christ through community groups, classes, and mission opportunities. She joined the team in 2018 and loves spending time outside of the office with her family and two dogs, Lady & Dodger. 

Crystal has deep roots at Amplify, having grown up here. She has an infectious love for the Lord and a heart for leading people to the throne of God through Worship. She is the perfect match for her husband, Pastor Phillip, together they lead and love Amplify Church. Crystal points her family towards Christ as a full-time Mom of five!

Patti is a prayer warrior! She leads our prayer and visitation ministries. She enjoys flower gardening, entertaining, photography, and watching a good movie with a big bowl of buttered popcorn. Patti holds a local Ministry  License through Amplify.  Her three children have blessed her with nine fun-loving grandchildren.

Ashley Little has made a tremendous impact for Christ in our Children’s Ministry, she serves our families with children, birth through 6th graders. She is quick to crack a joke and has an infectious positive attitude! Ashley holds a local Ministry License through Amplify.  Ashley grew up at Amplify and has a burden for sharing Christ with the next generation.

Sterling Rhoades joins Amplify as the Associate Pastor. He is an avid Kentucky Basketball fan. He is originally from Hoosier's country in Indiana and cheers for the Pacers and Colts. Sterling studied Pastoral Ministry from Highlands College where he met his lovely wife, Sheridan. They just welcomed their first child in 2024!

Pastor Sean joins Amplify from the great state of Tennessee as our Tech Pastor. Sean and is wife were married in 2000  have a son, Michael, daughter MaKenna, and Luna the German shepherd. His favorite sports teams include: The National Champion Michigan Wolverines & the Detroit Red Wings. He loves serving God and the church, especially in areas of worship & technology. Sean believes those ministries are just the platform to pour into people. "After all, we use ministries to build people, never the other way around."

Kim serves Amplify Children and Youth Families. She and her husband John have three wonderful children. Her greatest desire for our youth is that they find Jesus, accept him as their Savior, grow in their love and knowledge of Him and go out and share who He is with others. 

Kyle and his wife Kayla and their three children: Brayden , Ava, and Elena  joined the Amplify Church Family all the way from Kentucky! He looks forward to partnering with parents as they raise up their teens to follow the Lord. He is an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Student Ministry for 19 years. He is an avid Kentucky  and Tennessee Titians Fan.

Sheridan is blessed to be serving alongside her husband, Sterling, in ministry here at Amplify Church. She got her degree in Christian Ministry, with a focus on worship, in 2022 from Highlands College. She loves all things family, music, food, coffee and window shopping!

Deanna Jones and her husband Elias have been attending Amplify for 17+ years. She also spent a couple years in the youth group as she was growing up. She is a stay at home wife and homeschooling mom to four kids. She and her husband (and kids) love Amplify Church and you’ll find them serving in a variety of ways.

Mia has been attending Amplify Church alongside her husband Garrett for 3 years.  Alongside their dog Echo, they  moved to North Carolina from California in 2022. With a deep passion for Christ and a heart for serving families, Mia is dedicated to creating spaces that nurture spiritual growth. She believes in partnering with parents to point their children towards Christ in every aspect of life.  Anytime you find Mia a dad joke or a caffeinated beverage is not far behind.

Jay grew up in the inner-city of Baltimore and has recently moved to North Carolina!  He and his high school sweetheart, Lynn, have built a legacy full of love, laughter, and a whole lot of ministry service. They have five children and seven grandchildren!  Jay is an Ordained Minister with the Church of the Nazarene and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
